Brittany.

The Golden Tree-Broceliande-King Arthur
.
After
a fire devastated the forest in 1990 there was an international effort
to save this mystical landmark.To acknowledge this goodwill ,a Paris
sculptor created this symbol in tribute. King Arthur came to the
forest of Broceliande in search of the Holy Grail and it was here that he
received the sword Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake.
Merlins Tomb,Broceliande,where he was
imprisoned by his lover,the beautiful fairy Viviane.Folklore says that
if water from the magic spring is sprinkled on the stone,Merlin will
conjure up thunder and rain. Merlin was said to have built Viviane a
crystal citadel beneath the lake at Chateau de Comper.

The Kerloas Menhir,near
Plouarzel .With a height of 9.5 metres,weighing 100 tons,it is the
tallest standing menhir in Brittany.The top was damaged in a
thunderstorm centuries ago.Legend has it that wedding couples touching
